CMS Athletes follow a training plan based on the ‘Four’ principal.

What is the four principal ? Each time frame of training time between Olympic Games is split into 4 sections as follows.

Four Year Principal
 
YEAR 1 Emphasis on Stamina
YEAR 2 Emphasis on Strength
YEAR 3 Emphasis on Speed
YEAR 4 Emphasis on Technique

Yearly Cycle
 
Oct - Dec Emphasis on Stamina & Strength
Jan - Mar Emphasis on Speed Endurance
Apr - Jun Emphasis on Speed
Jun - Sep Emphasis on Technique

Monthly Cycle
 
Week 1 Hard training emphasising Strength & Stamina
Week 2 Hard training emphasising Speed Endurance
Week 3 Hard training emphasising Speed
Week 4 Easy training emphasising Technique

Weekly Cycle
 
Monday Emphasis on Technique
Tuesday Emphasis on Speed Endurance
Wednesday Emphasis on Stamina
Thursday REST
Friday Emphasis on Technique
Saturday Emphasis on Gymnastic abilities
Sunday Active Rest - Cross Training, skiing, etc.
